How to Cancel Your Paramount+ Free Trial Before You're Charged

Last verified: October 22, 2026, against the Paramount+ Help Center, the Paramount+ Terms of Use (US), Apple Support and Google Play Help.

Quick answer

  • Is there a free trial in the US? Not a standard one right now. Paramount+'s help center says "7-day free trials are only available in Australia, France, Germany, Italy, the UK & Ireland." (Paramount+ Help: How do I cancel my subscription?) When we checked the US plan picker on October 22, 2026, none of the plans listed a free trial. The US Terms of Use still allow trials ("Your Subscription may start with a free trial period"), so a promo or partner offer may include one.
  • To cancel (signed up on the web, a smart TV or a game console): go to paramountplus.com → your username (top right) → Account → Cancel subscription. (Paramount+ Help: How can I cancel?)
  • Signed up through Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku or Walmart+? Cancel with them, not on paramountplus.com.
  • After you cancel a trial, you keep watching until the trial ends. You're charged automatically at the end of a trial "unless you cancel your Subscription before the expiry of such period." (Terms of Use §5.5, §5.8)

Paramount+ free trial and prices now (US)

Free trial: the US Terms of Use (dated September 15, 2026) say trials are "available to new subscribers only (one per subscriber)," that Paramount+ "will inform you of the specific duration of any free trial period at the point of sign-up," and that you "will need to provide a valid payment method at the point of sign-up." Redeeming a gift card at sign-up means no free trial. (Terms of Use §5.5)

Paramount+ with Walmart+: Walmart+ includes Paramount+ Essential at no extra cost, and "Active Walmart+ trial and paid members are eligible." That Paramount+ plan "is managed through Walmart+," and "If you cancel your Walmart+ membership, your Paramount+ benefit will also be canceled." (Paramount+ Help: Walmart+)

When you're charged: payment is taken "at the start of your Subscription (or at the end of any applicable limited free trial period or Promotional Offer period that covers the full cost of your Subscription unless you have cancelled...)" and then at the start of each billing period. A "nominal charge may be temporarily taken for verification purposes" when you add a payment method. (Terms of Use §5.7)

Step 1: Check who bills you

Paramount+ says to cancel "relevant to the device or platform that you used to sign up." If you subscribed "on another billing platform, like the Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon or Roku, you'll need to return to that platform to cancel your subscription." (Paramount+ Help) Your sign-up or receipt email usually shows who took the payment.

How to cancel Paramount+ on the web (and smart TVs and consoles)

Use these steps if you signed up on paramountplus.com, on a smart TV (LG, Vizio, Samsung) or on a game console (Xbox, PS4 or PS5):

  1. Go to paramountplus.com and click your username in the upper right corner.
  2. Click Account.
  3. Scroll down and click Cancel subscription.

Can't sign in? Paramount+ says to open the Help Center homepage, "click the blue chat bubble at the bottom of the screen and type 'Agent'." (Paramount+ Help: How can I cancel?)

How to cancel on iPhone, iPad or Apple TV

  • iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Paramount+ → Cancel Subscription → Confirm. "If you don't see Cancel Subscription, the subscription is already canceled and won't renew."
  • Apple TV (4th generation and later): Settings → Users & Accounts → your account → Subscriptions → Paramount+ → Cancel Subscription. You can only edit subscriptions for apps installed on that Apple TV.
  • Apple TV Channels: on your Apple TV, Settings → Users and Accounts → your name → Subscriptions → Paramount+, then follow the on-screen steps.

How to cancel on Android phones and Android TV

You need a phone or computer: go to g.co/play/subscriptions → Paramount+ → Cancel subscription → follow the instructions. "Uninstalling an app on your Android TV will not cancel your subscription." (Paramount+ Help, Google Play Help)

How to cancel on Roku

On your Roku: go to the home screen, highlight the Paramount+ channel and press the * button on the remote → Manage Subscription → Cancel Subscription. (Paramount+ Help) More help: Roku Support.

How to cancel on Amazon: Fire TV and Prime Video Channels

  • Fire TV / Amazon Appstore: go to amazon.com/appstoresubscriptions, sign in, select Actions next to Paramount+ → Cancel your subscription.
  • Prime Video Channels: in Prime Video, go to Account & Settings → Your subscriptions, find the Paramount+ channel → Unsubscribe and confirm.

Paramount+ through Walmart+

Your Paramount+ Essential plan is managed and billed through Walmart+, so you can't cancel the benefit on paramountplus.com. Cancelling Walmart+ also cancels the Paramount+ benefit. If you upgraded to Premium through Walmart+, that's "an additional monthly charge of $5.49/month," charged "immediately at the time of the upgrade." (Paramount+ Help: Walmart+)

What happens after you cancel

  • Access: "you will be able to continue to use your Subscription until the cancellation takes effect." For free trials that's "at the end of the free trial period." Otherwise it's the end of your current billing period, including when a promotional offer applies. (Terms of Use §5.8)
  • Upgrading during a trial ends it: if you upgrade on the website, "any remaining free trial period will be lost," and you can only downgrade "after any applicable free trial period ends." (Terms of Use §5.2)
  • Coming back: "Yes, you can resubscribe at any time!" Sign in with the same email and pick a plan. (Paramount+ Help: Can I resubscribe?)

Already charged? Refund tips

  • Paramount+'s policy (billed directly): "YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED FOR ANY FEES YOU HAVE PAID," except where you're legally entitled to one. (Terms of Use §5.8) Cancel first so it doesn't renew again.
  • Billed by Apple: go to reportaproblem.apple.com → "I'd like to" → "Request a refund." (Apple Support)
  • Billed by Google Play, Amazon, Roku or Walmart: their terms apply. Paramount+ says that when you pay through a third party, you cancel or change payment "through that third party." (Terms of Use §5.9)

If I cancel my Paramount+ trial early, can I keep watching? Yes. Paramount+'s Terms of Use say cancellation of a free trial takes effect at the end of the free trial period, and you can keep using it until then.

When will Paramount+ charge me? At the end of the free trial or full-cost promotional period, unless you cancel before it ends, and then at the start of each billing period. A small temporary verification charge may appear when you add a payment method.

Can I get a refund from Paramount+? Paramount+'s Terms of Use say fees you've paid are not refunded, except where the law entitles you to a refund. If Apple, Google or another partner billed you, ask them.

Does deleting the Paramount+ app cancel my subscription? No. Paramount+ says uninstalling the app on Android TV or deleting it from Fire TV doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel in your Paramount+ account or with whoever bills you.

How do I cancel Paramount+ on Roku? On the Roku home screen, highlight the Paramount+ channel, press the star button on the remote, select Manage Subscription and choose Cancel Subscription.
